Biography
Daniel Gandoy has had a 23-year career in equity research, most recently as Head of Research at JB Capital Markets where he also had primary coverage of the real estate, construction and infrastructure sectors in Spain. Earlier in his career, he also covered European infrastructure, real estate, building materials and renewable energy at Deutsche Bank and Caixabank.
He is a graduate of Icade Business School in Madrid with a double degree in Business Administration and Actuarial Science. He also has a degree in Law from UNED and UEM. He is a registered auditor in the Spanish Official Auditors Registry (ROAC) since year 2000 and he is a member of the Madrid Bar Association since 2011. He is also member of the Spanish Association of Tax Advisors and of the Madrid’s Economist Association since year 2000.
Daniel had a leading role as a sell-side analyst in the IPO’s of Cintra, Realia, Axiare, Árima and Aedas. He also had a leading role in the dual track processes (IPO/private sale) for HI Partners and Zero-E.
Daniel had a leading role as sell side analyst in the placing of block trades from Spanish saving banks in Sacyr with institutional investors, representing c.20% of the share capital, as well as in the €166m capital increase in 2014 via an accelerated book-building offering. He also had a leading role in the placing among institutional investors of different block trades in Axiare shares.
He is an expert in the Spanish real estate market with an experience of more than 20 years, both from a macro perspective in all assets classes, and from the strong knowledge of the leading Spanish companies, as well as the institutional investors that operated in the sector.
